First Annual Youth Encounter/Talent Exposition!  

You already know that each week our team teachers meet with the youth in our child labor PREVENTION PROJECTS in the thirteen different Centers of Attention. Here they enjoy the LEARNING CLUBS where they can compete in music, dance, art and debate. The children and adolescents also participate in THE DIGNIFIED LIFE PROJECT workshops that emphasize leadership and critical thinking.  Each week they also receive CHRISTIAN VALUES workshops. This year we were able to bring the winners from each zone together for a huge ENCOUNTER where they displayed their talents and experienced God’s presence in the evening celebration service.
 

So far the FACES Program has helped about 70 young people graduate from high school. Dan and Teresa are producing a video documentary about these kids who were either rescued from child labor or at risk of going into the work force and dropping out of school. Many were the first children to graduate high school in their families. Here is a photo of them receiving a special award for their efforts.
